Perdido Key is an island that stretches 16 miles. This span begins in Pensacola and reaches into the state of Mississippi. It is surrounded on 3 sides by a highly active and healthy inshore fishery, and the ocean facing side gives direct access to the Gulf of Mexico.
The species available here in Perdido Key is quite a large list. Some of our favorites include: redfish, spanish mackerel, king mackerel, speckled trout, red snapper, grouper, cobia, jack crevalle, amberjack, flounder, and even Tarpon.
This area of Florida is home to some of the best fighting and most highly sought after shark species in the state. Some of the local species to target include:
